About the Opportunity
Carinity is seeking a flexible and hands‐on Roving Grounds and Maintenance Officer to support multiple sites across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ipswich and Laidley. This role is responsible for providing leave coverage and maintenance support across Carinity's aged care and community sites, ensuring facilities, grounds and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
Working closely with site teams and the Property Manager, you will play an important role in creating safe, welcoming and well‐maintained environments for residents, staff and visitors. Your Day‐to‐day Will Involve
* Carrying out general grounds and building maintenance across multiple sites
* Completing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure buildings, equipment and outdoor areas remain safe and well maintained
* Responding to maintenance requests from staff and residents in a timely manner
* Assisting with painting, repairs and minor project work
* Coordinating with external contractors and trades when required
* Maintaining accurate records relating to maintenance activities, equipment and servicing
* Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements and site procedures
* Supporting site teams with a collaborative and customer‐focused approach
* Travelling between Carinity sites as required to provide operational support
* Identifying hazards and contributing to a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors and staff
About You
You are a reliable and hands‐on maintenance professional who enjoys working across a variety of sites and building positive relationships with others. You bring strong problem‐solving skills, work well independently and as part of a team, and take pride in delivering high‐quality maintenance outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.
* Trade qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in grounds and general maintenance
* Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety legislation and maintenance safety standards
* Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across multiple locations
* NDIS Workers Screening, a Blue Card and a First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Experience working within aged care, community or similar environments will be highly regarded
