About the role
Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a new Customer Service Officer/Order Administrator within a team of 17 where you will become responsible for processing customer orders within an assigned portfolio. Frequent communication with customers and internal departments will be required to efficiently manage orders to despatch. Additional responsibilities will include:
1. Proactively manage customer orders to be aware of inventory or supply issues and communicate any issues with customers and the commercial team in a timely manner.
2. Process sales and inventory transactions.
3. Create and maintain customer, supplier, and product files in our ERP (JD Edwards).
4. Monitor distribution of product to customers and follow up on sales orders.
5. Take inbound calls to answer inquiries, take orders, and respond to customer needs.
6. Process non-conformance reports.
7. Liaise with sales and support staff to keep them up to date on customer needs.
8. Escalate issues to the appropriate manager or team when required.
About you
Experience – We are looking for either an experienced Order Administrator/Customer Service Officer or someone with limited customer service experience that we can grow and develop.
Prior order administration experience with a national distributor, medium to high proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure to ERP systems will be highly regarded but is not necessary. Similarly, familiarity with JD Edwards would put you a step above the rest but is not required.
Eagerness to Learn - We are looking for someone with a drive to learn; from systems to processes to our large range of products and industries.
Ability to multi-task - No two days are the same. We work at a fast pace, and often encounter tight deadlines. You will have demonstrable experience in working to an excellent standard when under pressure and being able to prioritise deadlines.
Well-developed communication skills - You will be communicating and building relationships across all levels within IMCD.
A can-do attitude – Our values are central to all that we do. You will go a long way if you use your initiative and are happy to roll your sleeves up and support the wider team while being able to work independently.
Being a team player – Supporting colleagues when needed and working as part of a team is essential to our success.
In return you will:
1. Join an inclusive, supportive and diverse team.
2. Enjoy working for an international fast-growing company with a strong entrepreneurial culture.
3. Free onsite parking.
4. Additional benefits such as a fitness subsidy, quarterly incentives, salary continuance insurance and monthly on-site massages.
