North Regional TAFE are seeking to establish an open recruitment pool .
This pool will be used to appoint suitable applicants as vacancies arise, which may include full‑time, part‑time, permanent or fixed‑term vacancies, with the possibility of further extensions and/or permanency.

Pool selection
Only those applicants who have been assessed as suitable through a merit selection process can be considered for selection to the pool. Appointment from the pool to a vacancy is not guaranteed.

You will receive advice that you have been recommended for appointment to the pool or that you were unsuccessful. If you're not successful, you can request feedback and can reapply in the future.

Responsibilities
As the Lecturer Automotive, you will be responsible for delivering training and assessment for qualifications from Certificate I through to Certificate III and other related Automotive Industry Training Package. This includes both theory and practical learning activities.
As a lecturer at NRTAFE, you would be focussed on teaching, facilitating learning, assessing and mentoring students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. You will also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery. To maintain quality educational services, you are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in your field through professional development to provide up‑to‑date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
* Significant relevant industry/vocational or lecturing experience (minimum 5 years)
* Relevant vocational qualifications and/or competencies at least to the level of the qualifications you will deliver and assess, including:
* AUR10120 Certificate I in Automotive Vocational Preparation
* AUR20220 Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology
* AUR20520 Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology
* AUR21920 Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology
* AUR20720 Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Preparation
* AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* AUR31220 Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (Mobile Plant Equipment)
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024)
It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it.
Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply; however, North Regional TAFE will require the successful candidate to be enrolled, and have commenced training in an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to enable the credential to be completed within two years from commencement.
If you have experience delivering relevant and engaging training in a classroom and workplace settings to a diverse range of students, sound verbal and written communication skills, good administration skills including using Microsoft Office products and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team we want to hear from you
