Wellbeing Practitioner RSL Queensland is a dynamic, not-for-profit organisation delivering innovative programmes and initiatives that support veterans and their families.
The Wellbeing Practitioner focuses on building therapeutic relationships with veterans and their families by partnering them with local agencies, health practitioners, Government departments, and other ex service organisations.
The multi disciplined Wellbeing team also plays an active role in supporting its local community by promoting our services and building important relationships with other community members.
Responsibilities Working with veterans and their families within our homelessness and financial hardship programmes.
Assessing clients and preparing case management plans that support an outcomes based approach to veteran wellbeing.
Conducting home and hospital visits to veterans to ensure they receive emotional support, counselling, or other assistance as required.
Qualifications Completed Degree qualification in Humanities/Arts (Social Welfare), Health Sciences, Social Science or similar, along with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a relevant position.
Extensive knowledge and experience in Strength based Case Management.
Aptitude for and interest in completing your ATDP or MILADW001 in Welfare.
Demonstrated proficiency in planning and managing client workloads across highly sensitive environments and situations.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills to rapidly build rapport and trust.
