What You\'ll Be Doing
- To contribute to the efficient operation of the Clinical Information Department by processing the release of personal health information for medico-legal purposes in particular litigation, police requests, subpoenas, copies of clinical records, requests for medical reports and summary of injuries, completion of all deceased paperwork/records and requests for information for ongoing care purposes.
- To ensure that patient privacy is maintained as per relevant policies and procedures.

- Previous clerical experience in a health or legal environment.
- Completion of medical terminology course or willingness to complete course.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, and demonstrate excellent team skills.
- Effective organisation and communication skills and the ability to effectively deal with difficult customers.
- Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure accuracy in a high volume environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to problem solve, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to a changing environment.
- A good understanding of legislation regarding release of information and privacy.
- Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of computerised patient administration systems including electronic medical record systems.
