The opportunity
We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Learning & Capability Risk Manager to join the Commercial & People Risk team at QBE. Reporting to the Head of Risk Solutions, you will be responsible for designing and delivering strategic learning and development programs that increase risk awareness, build risk management capabilities and uplift risk maturity for QBE partners, customers and internal stakeholders.

Your new role
As the Learning & Capability Risk Manager you will deliver a key pillar in our Commercial & Risk Solutions strategy to deliver training and education to support risk awareness and effective risk management.
Key responsibilities will include;
* Leading the development and execution of the Risk Solutions L&D strategy
* Designing, developing, implementing and maintaining learning programs and initiatives
* Uplifting risk management capabilities through development and execution of structured in-person and digital L&D initiatives
* Leading the development of digital self-service learning initiatives
* Driving thought leadership and risk insight initiatives which create awareness and educate on current and emerging risks, guidance and best practices
* Developing strong partnerships with senior stakeholders and business leaders to identify, prioritise and deliver impactful L&D initiatives
* Accountability for supplier strategy and relationships, for learning platforms and content
* Monitoring the effectiveness of training programs by collecting and analysing data, preparing detailed reports, and making recommendations for improvement based on feedback and metrics
About you
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in a similar L&D role with another large Insurer, or from within the Banking or Financial Services industry. You will have the experience and confidence to work autonomously and lead projects, in addition to collaborating with the ODEX team.
You will also have;
* Proven experience creating, implementing and facilitating training courses
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, particularly at a senior level
* Extensive L&D experience with knowledge and capabilities across multiple areas
* Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline preferred, or an equivalent level of work experience
