Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable / Payroll Officer role provides essential financial support to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier payments and employee payroll. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial records, reporting and compliance within the company. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team, supporting smooth day-to-day operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of the business.
Role Details
* Casual: 15 hours per week
* Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the office
* Hours: Flexible within school hours
Key Responsibilities
* Process accounts payable and supplier invoices accurately and promptly
* Prepare and manage payroll for up to 200 employees
* Maintain accurate financial records and reporting
* Provide leave relief and assist with general accounting tasks as required
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in accounts payable and payroll
* Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., MYOB, Xero)
* Strong analytical skills and experience engaging with stakeholders
* Knowledge of Australian payroll, taxation and compliance requirements for medium to large businesses
* Proactive, team-oriented and committed to workplace safety and integrity
* Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication skills
* First Aid Certification (desirable)
