TeamKids is the premium provider of Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) throughout Australia. We exist to excite, engage and entertain children before school, after school and throughout school holidays.
Job Description
This permanent, part‐time opportunity offers hands‐on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported by a Director of Service to thrive in your role.
Service Location: Mooroolbark, 3138
You'll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM + 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM + 7 hours admin.
Wellbeing and Inclusion Officer Responsibilities
* Assist on the floor with Inclusion and Behaviour management practices, supporting the educators with any behaviour guidance strategies and supporting children with emotional regulation so they can participate fully in the TeamKids program.
* Communicating with families about their individual children's behaviour and inclusion needs when required.
* Develop Individual Support Plans in collaboration with your Director of Service and Regional Manager and mentor the educator team to implement these to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour guidance.
* Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising TeamKids and schools' positive behaviour support framework, and commit to eliminating restrictive practices.
* Responsible for the development of funding through the ISP program for your service working closely with the Victorian Inclusion Agency and TeamKids Inclusion Team.
* Guide the Educator Team in inclusive practices to support their capacity and confidence to support children who are neurodivergent, have disruptive behaviours or have a trauma background.
* Work with families, school well‐being teams and therapists to implement consistent strategies to support children who are neurodivergent or have a trauma background in accessing our programs.
* Attend professional development and training to develop your own knowledge and capacity of inclusive practices to assist children who require support to participate in our programs.
* Create resources to promote the inclusion of all children.
* Assist in the development of Individual Support Plans to ensure consistent approaches to behaviour guidance.
* Assist with developing funding cases.
* Develop resources to promote inclusion of all children.
The Successful Candidate
* Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential – we can train you!
* Thrives in a fast‐paced environment and still a big kid at heart.
* Confidence communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
* Strong team player with excellent problem‐solving skills and a can‐do, positive attitude.
* Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary‐aged children.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have fun.
* Relevant Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards it) as per ACECQA standards.
