fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $2,895.38 gross per fortnight +
superannuation (12%).

Your new
role:
In this hands-on role, you'll work as
part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant and
equipment. Your work will play a vital part in maintaining and improving local
infrastructure, supporting the delivery of essential services, and ensuring
positive outcomes for our community.
Duties of this position will include but
are not limited to:
* Operate and maintain Council plant and equipment with an
emphasis on backhoe operation.
* Undertake general labouring duties including traffic
management; pipe laying; soil and sediment control; concreting and paving; tar
patching, hot mix and sealing works; construction and maintenance of kerb and
guttering, culverts, headwalls and pits; stormwater system maintenance; bridge
maintenance; erection and maintenance of guide posts, sign posts and guard
rails; fencing; roadside maintenance works; rehabilitation works; general
maintenance activities; and site safety.
* Utilise and maintain small items of plant, equipment,
tools (hand and power) and personal protective equipment and clothing (PPE/C)
in accordance with Council standards.
* Complete documentation relevant to the role e.g. standard
forms, site safety documentation etc.
What you
will need to succeed:
* National
Certificate of Competency Class LB (Backhoe Operations).
* Class MR
Driver's Licence.
* General
Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
* SafeWork
NSW Traffic Control Work Card\s – Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic
Control.
* Applicants must enjoy
working outdoors and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
