Financial Restructuring Specialist Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Restructuring Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Wholesale & Country Banking department, you will be responsible for managing and working out solutions for clients experiencing financial difficulties or default.
This is a complex role requiring strategic thinking, resilience, and negotiation skills. You will develop restructuring/recovery strategies with clients and account managers, reviewing client documentation and managing workout stages like farm debt mediation, asset sales, and debt reduction.
Liaising with external parties such as lawyers and insolvency professionals is also an essential part of this role. Coordinating with internal stakeholders to update on problem loans, preparing reviews and applications with transaction teams, and providing credit decisions are all crucial aspects of the job.
You will also create key reports for management, Utrecht, credit committees, and provisioning, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided. Strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills are vital in handling sensitive situations tactfully.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing Restructuring/Recovery Strategies: Collaborate with clients and account managers to identify potential solutions.
* Reviewing Client Documentation: Analyze banking code of practice correspondence and other relevant documents.
* Managing Workout Stages: Oversee farm debt mediation, asset sales, and debt reduction processes.
* Liaising with External Parties: Work closely with lawyers, insolvency professionals, and other external stakeholders.
* Coordinating with Internal Stakeholders: Update management and other internal teams on problem loan progress.
* Preparing Reports and Applications: Create timely and accurate reports for management, Utrecht, credit committees, and provisioning.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 Years' Experience: In a financial institution or insolvency practice.
* Problem Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing complex environments.
* Insolvency Knowledge: Understanding of insolvency procedures, recovery proceedings, and problem loan management.
* Legislative Obligations: Familiarity with FDMA, BCOP, and TCF concepts.
* Rural/Agricultural or Middle Market/Corporate Commercial Lending: Experience in these areas is highly regarded.
* Influencing and Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to handle sensitive situations.
