Job Title: Transmission and Grid Maintenance Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Transmission and Grid Maintenance Specialist to join our Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation of the Pilbara Grid Network.
About the Role:
The Transmission and Grid Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for undertaking technical responsibilities across the Pilbara Grid Network, including planning and installation, commissioning, maintenance, and dismantling. Your work will directly support network reliability and service excellence, contributing to both divisional and corporate performance goals.
Your Impact:
You will provide technical input to Asset Services, coordinate daily operations for efficient outcomes, and maintain and repair electrical and electronic equipment to ensure reliable network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair electrical and electronic equipment, including protection circuits.
* Undertake testing and commissioning of network apparatus and associated system circuits.
* Troubleshoot faults, restore system integrity, and carry out switching, commissioning, and maintenance programs.
* Ensure transmission assets are built, commissioned, and maintained in line with the Transmission Asset Management Plan.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong knowledge and experience in transmission network operations, maintenance practices, and field procedures. You should also have practical understanding of electrical protection systems across transmission and distribution networks, as well as familiarity with project, contract, and maintenance management systems relevant to transmission.
Qualifications and Experience:
A current unrestricted WA Electrical Workers Licence and demonstrated HV Switching experience are essential requirements for this role. Proven commitment to safety and operational excellence in high voltage transmission environments is also highly valued.
