An innovative technology business working at the intersection of software, electronics, and hardware integration is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join their growing team. The role involves robotics and automation projects, primarily in the semiconductor industry, with occasional work in biomedical applications.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and integration of advanced systems, working across electrical, software, and mechanical disciplines.
This is a full-time role based in Sydney. Full relocation is required for interstate candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate existing software and customer hardware into larger systems.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers on design, motor selection, and motion systems.
- Contribute to systems integration across electrical, software, and mechanical domains.
- Support robotics, automation, and production line equipment projects.
- Assist with software development tasks, particularly in Python, with opportunities to learn LabVIEW and PLCs.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechatronics Engineering (or related discipline).
- Open to graduates through to candidates with around 4 years of industry experience.
- Strong foundation in software and electrical engineering; mechanical knowledge advantageous.
- Exposure to Python, LabVIEW, PLCs, or production line equipment is a plus but not required, training will be provided.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work across disciplines.
