Located in South Bowenfels, the Lithgow Campus is considered as a comprehensive community health centre supporting approximately 20,000 people living in the town and surrounding areas. The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.
We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our small, dedicated multidisciplinary team at Lithgow Hospital. This specialist clinical role provides direct assessment and intervention for infants, preschool, and school-aged children through a mix of outpatient clinic sessions and home or school visits.
You will bring broad paediatric experience, including developmental screening of infant milestones, sensory assessment to support regulation strategies, and an understanding of neurodevelopmental evaluation and best practice interventions for functional skills. A family centred approach is essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, agencies, and allied health colleagues. Practical, routine based therapy strategies and networking skills will help you succeed in this role.

What You Will Bring To The Role
* Registered with the Occupational therapy Board (APHRA)
* Significant post graduate clinical experience and knowledge across a range of clinical areas
* Ability to work independently and as an effective multidisciplinary team member
* Demonstrate a high level of written and verbal communication, consultation, and negotiation skills
* Demonstrated ability to plan and co-ordinate client care and service management within service priorities
* Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to develop, lead and evaluate quality improvement and actively ensure best practice
* Current NSW Drivers Licence with a good driving record
