Overview
Leading Commercial Construction company seeks an experienced Site Engineer with building structures project experience for projects local to Canberra.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage on-site construction activities
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including government officials and contractors
- Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues promptly
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and budgeting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction management or related field
- Proven experience in site or project engineering roles, preferably on large-scale government projects (3-5 years)
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
