As a result of a secured engagement with one of our National Security partners, Helix requires a TSPV cleared Project Manager to join us on a long-term contract (12 months with expected extensions).
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager with proven experience of solving complex problems, who thrives working as part of a team to push boundaries and is passionate about leveraging technology to produce world-class outcomes for critical intelligence and national security customers.
Project Manager key requirements and responsibilities:
* Manage a range of activities and priorities, as directed.
* Create and manage project schedules, budget and resources, preparation of briefings, submissions, reports and returns in accordance with organisational requirements.
* Apply established procedures, practices and project management methodologies.
* Build and sustain stakeholder engagement, including communicating with influence and negotiating effectively.
* Quickly comprehend technical concepts and issues related to projects and articulate these with stakeholders.
* Demonstratable knowledge or experience of project management principles and practices. Relevant experience within your nominated area of ICT or Property is highly regarded.
* Understanding of a variety of project management methodologies (e.g.: PMBOK, PRINCE2, AGILE) and the ability to blend them together to fit a project or business environment is highly regarded.
* Experience in successfully delivering fixed priced, complex ICT projects
* TSPV clearance is a requirement for this role
Project Manager Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience delivering enterprise-level ICT projects across infrastructure, applications, cloud, networks, cybersecurity, or digital transformation environments within a National Security and or Defence setting.
* Demonstrated success managing fixed price program budgets, ensuring delivery within agreed commercial parameters while protecting margin and controlling costs.
* Strong experience in below the line project management work, including detailed delivery oversight, resource coordination, scheduling, reporting, and day-to-day project controls.
* Strong end-to-end project management capability covering initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, governance, and closeout.
* Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, cloud platforms, end-user computing, and enterprise applications.
* Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies, with the ability to apply the right framework to project outcomes.
* Proven ability to manage third-party vendors, managed service providers, and delivery partners to meet scope, quality, and milestone commitments.
* Experience developing and maintaining project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or Primavera P6.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage executives, business leaders, technical teams, and external suppliers.
* Experience leading cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, analysts, developers, testers, and support teams.
* Sound understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, privacy, and governance requirements within enterprise environments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive reporting, steering committee updates, and presentations.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or related discipline.
* Formal project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent highly regarded.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a results-driven mindset.
