Overview
Port Stephens Council invites applications for the role of Manager - Civil Infrastructure Delivery (PSC659). This is a permanent, full-time position within the Capital Works Section, providing leadership and direction to the Civil Infrastructure Delivery Unit and managing a team of technical professionals across Project Management, Design, and Surveying. The role reports to the Capital Works Section Manager and has independence in managing the civil infrastructure capital works budget, including reporting, improvement, and corrective actions. The workplace is PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development, planning, project management, surveying, designing and delivery of the civil infrastructure capital works program in accordance with planning legislation, accepted industry standards, specifications and client/customer requirements.
- Develop major projects with clients and external stakeholders within site, planning and financial constraints.
- Lead, supervise, mentor and coach the Civil Projects Unit, comprising three teams and approximately 25 staff.
Qualifications
- A degree qualification in Engineering, Construction, Survey, Design, or a related field with significant industry experience.
- Proven employee leadership and communication skills.
Employment details
- Permanent opportunity, full-time, 35 hours per week with flexible working arrangements.
- Base Salary Range: $117,660 to $138,428 per annum (based on 35 hours/week) plus 12% superannuation, plus $19,364 motor vehicle allowance, plus $2,464 retention allowance, plus civil liability allowance.
