Manager - Audit Governance

Macquarie Group

The Audit Governance team plays a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic decision‑making, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational standards. This is an 18‑month fixed‑term contract. At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 31 markets and with 56 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone – no matter what role – contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

What role will you play?

You will support the implementation of diverse, highly visible initiatives, partnering with teams across Finance, Tax and the broader Macquarie group to develop commercial solutions while managing risk. You will provide valuable insights and recommendations to our stakeholders in relation to the initiatives undertaken. Your responsibilities include overseeing and supporting the implementation of group‑wide policies and frameworks within Finance, as well as engaging with internal and external stakeholders on governance and controllership matters. You will be responsible for developing high‑quality Board Audit Committee reports, managing direct reports by providing guidance and conducting reviews, and assisting other Finance initiatives in an advisory capacity. Additionally, you will oversee and uplift the Finance control framework to ensure robust financial governance.

What You Offer

- A Commerce/Accounting degree and professional accounting qualifications
- 5+ years of post‑qualification experience, preferably within financial services or professional services
- Solid communication skills and demonstrated proactivity, problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience in managing multiple workstreams collaboratively and autonomously, and prioritising tasks to execute on key deliverables within agreed timeframes
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across all levels
- A self‑starter with an adaptable and agile mindset, with a genuine interest in understanding Macquarie’s corporate structure, businesses and operating environment.

We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us. If you’re excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
