This is a 12 Month Fixed term contract opportunity for experienced planners to contribute to the long-term vision of a rapidly developing regional growth corridor.
Reporting to the Coordinator Growth Area Planning & Subdivision, you will:
* Lead the end-to-end assessment and coordination of major subdivision and development applications across key growth areas.
* Prepare high-quality statutory planning reports and recommendations.
* Provide expert planning advice to internal stakeholders, Councilors, and developers.
* Represent Council at VCAT and other planning forums.
* Negotiate and mediate complex planning matters to achieve practical, balanced outcomes.
* Contribute to the delivery of growth area planning strategies and precinct structure planning initiatives.
* Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and customer experience.
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to planning staff.
What You'll Bring
