HAYS is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Sales Engineer on behalf of our client, a highly reputed national hydraulic company with operations in both the eastern and western states of Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional with a background in mechanical engineering and a passion for sales. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and developing relationships with both existing and new customers, providing technical solutions, and contributing to business growth.
Your new role
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Understand customer requirements and offer technical solutions in hydraulics and mechanical engineering.
Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations
Provide engineering solutions and technical support to customers.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical documentation.
Advise customers on product selection, installation, and maintenance
Work closely with sales, engineering, technical, and workshop teams to ensure accuracy in sales proposals and specifications.
Receipt, storage, dispatch of materials and products.
Conduct quality and quantity checks for incoming stock
What you'll need to succeed
A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related field), or trade qualification with experience in the local hydraulic industry.
Knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical engineering principles.
Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving sales targets.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience in inventory management, store operations, and logistics is an advantage.
