Due to business growth within the State workers compensation sector, we are offering an opportunity for a Recovery Officer to join our growing Operational Support Services (OSS) team in Brisbane.
This newly created role is responsible for the negotiation, recovery and collection of overpayments from injured workers, medical practitioners and other vendors, and contributes to the financial success and service delivery of the function.
**Responsibilities**:
- Engage with key stakeholders including injured workers, treatment providers and other vendors to negotiate the terms and collection of identified overpayments made through the claims accounting process;
- Administer record keeping and issue correspondence to involved parties;
- Monitor and report on recovery activities to distribute and present across the wider business;
- Collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders, including Finance, Claims and the broader OSS team;
- Undertake additional adhoc administration support activities as required;
- Participate in key business projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in administrative or accounts receivable roles;
- Exceptional time management, negotiation and organisational skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of organisation, and an empathetic nature;
- A strong sense of team and collaboration;
