Job Overview
This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the fleet expansion of Optus Satellites, through the procurement of multiple spacecraft. Our team enhances, expands and upgrades Optus infrastructure to operate new and existing Spacecraft.
You will be based in Sydney, implementing Ground Segment systems architecture, planning, and design across multiple TTC technologies including RF and Antenna systems, Baseband and Timing systems, and associated infrastructure to support Spacecraft Telemetry, Command and Ranging capabilities.
Main Responsibilities
* Drive analysis and recommendations on TTC systems evolution, enhancement, modification, expansion, and replacement, to ensure system compatibility with existing and future satellite programs.
* Optimise system performance within budgetary requirements.
* Support the provision of TTC services for third-party on-orbit spacecraft and external satellite operators.
* Responsible for ongoing fault analysis, maintenance, repair and sparing of systems equipment and Ground Segment infrastructure used for on-orbit operations of all spacecraft under control.
* Provide technical and operational support and coordination of Satellite Control team resources to support planning and execution of LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase) and TOS/BIU (Transfer Orbit Support/Bring-Into-Use) services.
Skill and Qualification Requirements
* Comprehensive understanding of Space Segment concepts and Satellite Earth Station TTC systems.
* Satellite Communication Technologies; Antenna Systems, RF, Baseband, SCADA, Real-Time Computer systems.
* Experienced Systems SME support for Ground Segment TTC systems.
* Ability to provide quick resolutions to significant ground systems issues.
