Oversee TLV's evidence management and handling ensuring evidence is managed consistently and lawfully. Tobacco Licensing Victoria (TLV) was established to deliver the Government's commitment to implement a tobacco regulation and licensing scheme and is part of efforts to reduce the presence of illicit tobacco in Victoria. The Team Leader, Inspection Coordination, Logistics and Evidence Management, is responsible for overseeing the administrative, logistical, and operational processes that supports: the secure handling of evidence by TLV coordinating and scheduling inspections in line with TLV's Inspection Plan contract management and procurement related to evidence management. A strong understanding of relevant legislation, chain‑of‑custody requirements, and industry standards is required. The role ensures that all items and materials obtained through inspections, and investigations are received, catalogued, stored, transported, and disposed of in a compliant manner. The Team Leader, Inspection Coordination, Logistics and Evidence Management, will provide guidance on evidence management protocols, supports operational teams, and ensures that systems, documentation, and procedures consistently meet organisational and legal obligations. Through effective administration, quality assurance, and operational oversight, the role contributes directly to the integrity and success of TLV's objectives. The Opportunity Fixed Term to 30 June 2027 (12 months) VPS Grade 5 role: $116,413 - $140,849 per year plus superannuation. Manage day-to-day evidence related activities ensuring the handling and management of evidence is of a high quality, complies with relevant legislation and supports investigations into alleged criminal conduct. Support the TLV Compliance and Enforcement leadership team with the coordination and scheduling of inspection activities. Assist in the planning and execution of search warrants where the collection of evidence is required, in consultation with the TLV Compliance and Enforcement leadership team, ensuring that adequate resources are in place to manage the collections required. Ensure all handling, management and reporting of information complies with relevant legislation. Initiate, build and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across all levels to ensure commitment and ongoing co-operation and sharing of information to achieve TLV outcomes. Prepare operational and technical reports, briefs and other correspondence on highly complex issues regarding material evidence, in consultation with the Manager Compliance and Enforcement, that provide options for decision making within TLV. Contribute to the development of strategic planning, risk management and strategies through active participation in the leadership team of the TLV and cross functional committees and meetings.
