IMS Workforce is currently seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to support the delivery of major works within a leading mining and industrial environment in Western Australia.
This is a key site-based role responsible for coordinating contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards, and overseeing E&I scopes from early-stage testing through to execution and handover.
About the Role
Reporting into the Construction team, you will act as the central interface between contractors, engineering teams, and operations, ensuring all E&I works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You will play a critical role in contractor management, technical governance, and execution oversight across multiple work packages.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and supervise multiple E&I contractor work fronts
* Oversee delivery of electrical packages from FAT/SAT through to commissioning and handover
* Ensure compliance with site safety standards, legislation, and procedures
* Act as the key point of contact for all E&I-related stakeholder communication
* Manage permits, access, and work coordination across site teams
* Monitor progress against schedule and budget, managing variations and change control
* Participate in risk assessments and support safe execution of works
* Ensure QA/QC processes are implemented, including ITP/ITR verification
* Provide technical guidance and operational support where required
About You
You are a highly experienced E&I professional with a strong background in construction coordination within mining or heavy industry environments.
You bring a practical, hands-on approach combined with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
Qualifications & Experience
* WA "A Grade" Electrical Licence (essential)
* Trade qualification in Electrical (Instrumentation dual trade highly regarded)
* 15+ years' experience in E&I roles
* 7+ years in a supervisory or coordination role
* Proven experience in mining or heavy industry (essential)

* HV Switching certification
* Hazardous Area training
* Certificate IV in Frontline Management
* BSBWHS414 & BSBWHS411

* Strong technical E&I knowledge across construction and commissioning
* Proven contractor management and team leadership capability
* Solid understanding of QA/QC processes and documentation
* Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and competing priorities
