About the role:

You are a talented and motivated 2nd-in-Charge (2IC) who is ready to step in and support the Counter Manager at David Jones Chatswood in this permanent part-time role 30 hours per week .

This role combines providing exceptional client service with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the counter in the Counter Manager’s absence.

You will share your passion with your clients, sharing your product knowledge and expertise across the entire skincare and makeup collections.

You have proven retail experience, a strong service mindset, and the ability to coach and motivate a team while also excelling in individual sales performance.

Your key responsibilities include:

* Support the Counter Manager in achieving counter sales, service, and operational goals.
* Provide personalised consultations and expert product recommendations to clients.
* Step into a leadership role during the Counter Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations and team motivation.
* Assist with merchandising, stock management, and compliance with brand presentation standards.
* Contribute to the planning and execution of events and promotions.
* Maintain a clean, inviting, and brand-aligned counter environment.

To be successful in this role you will have:

* 2–3 years’ experience in beauty retail (preferably within the luxury space)
* You are a sales driven, positive and motivated individual with a proven history of achieving targets.
* You take pride in consistently providing excellent client experiences with a luxury service mindset.
* You have the ability to inspire and support your colleagues to deliver their best performance.
* You have the flexibility to work across all retail trading hours, including weekends and public holidays.

The role will provide you with:

The ideal candidates will have extensive experience within the Australian retail department store environment.
