As a Financial Planning Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of projects, providing critical insights to inform senior management decisions.
About the Role:
This position involves overseeing finance and accounting functions, ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. You will be responsible for compiling monthly project reports and key performance indicators (KPIs), as well as developing end-of-month forecasts and reports.
* You will review operating results in relation to cost, budgets, and policies, contributing to short- and long-term financial planning.
* Additionally, you will prepare schedules for financial reporting and assist in developing financial cashflow reports.
* Maintenance of debtors and liaison with project managers are also essential components of this role.
* Further responsibilities include auditing procurement processes and employee remuneration, interpreting financial results, and providing recommendations.
* Liaising with external auditors is also an integral part of this position.
Requirements:
* A Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or equivalent tertiary accounting qualification is mandatory.
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Statistics, or relevant disciplines are also necessary.
* An excellent command of written and verbal communication skills is required, along with highly developed computer skills and advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
