Maintenance Electrician (FMCG) - Afternoon Shift

JOB DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity exists for an Industrial Electrician to support the MAP WA Maintenance Team on our afternoon shift (M-F). Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be working closely with a dedicated team supporting the installation, maintenance and repair for all site electrical and control systems. On a day-to-day basis you will provide electrical maintenance support and technical expertise for automated systems at MAP WA's Retail Ready Operations. You will use your skills and experience to improve reliability and performance.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Provide maintenance to production teams, maintaining plant to the highest standards
* Provide electrical support to the engineering teams and production staff by ensuring that planned and preventative maintenance is performed, and breakdowns are urgently addressed
* Assist with any major plant upgrades, continuous improvement projects and initiatives
* Maintain and upkeep areas within the workshop and on-site work areas
* Understand and implement quality control standard and conditions in line with procedures
* Our plant is highly automated, including state of the art robotic systems, with an extensive variety of packaging equipment. Your skills will be enhanced with exposure to these complex systems.
JOB CRITERIA
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Industrial experience in installations, fault finding, repairs and maintenance on manufacturing equipment
* Proficient with preventative maintenance systems CMMS (MEX)
* PLC experience (desirable but not required)
* Experience in automation and material handling equipment
* Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven
* Strong understanding of OHS requirements and adopt safe work practices
* Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
* Knowledge of food processing industry and food safety/ HACCP principles
* Experience in root cause analysis
* Strong organisational skills and ability to plan ahead to support the team's unique needs
