Leveraging your technical expertise and proven skills, you'll support our clients by offering sound statutory and strategic urban planning advice and insights. As a Consultant within our NSW Planning team, every day is different! You'll make an impact by:
* Contributing to the preparation of statutory land use land use planning projects, including development applications, land use studies, compliance assessments, highest and best use analysis, due diligence, precinct plans, and supporting technical inputs
* Providing high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional and local priorities and stakeholder needs
* Contributing to multidisciplinary projects, working collaboratively with our inhouse economists, heritage planners, urban designers, social planners and transport planners
* Developing client relationships by building trust, providing quality advice and managing expectations
* Writing submissions, proposals and advice that accurately reflects the client's need

* Holds tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline
* A minimum of 1 - 2 years' experience in Urban Planning
* Sound knowledge of statutory planning, and related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment
* Proficient appreciation and understanding of statutory policies, processes and influences
* Proficient appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development
* A collaborative mindset, to bring out the best in yourself and others while bringing new thinking to Urbis and our clients
* Passion for purpose-led work, and driving a positive legacy for our communities, clients and yourself
