Enterprise ICT Strategist
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned enterprise ICT strategist to drive architecture, design, and assurance services for 6-months with extensions up to 30 months. This role will provide expertise in solution architecture, integration models, and architecture artefacts ensuring solutions meet business needs, manage ICT risks, and realise value from investment.
You will play a key role working across business, information, application, technology, and security domains to guide ICT direction. The successful candidate will bring strong technical capability, a collaborative approach, and the ability to translate complex information into practical architectural solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and review solution designs, integration models, and architecture artefacts.
* Advise on technical requirements, planning, and procurement processes.
* Map out current and future-state architectures, especially across IDAM platforms.
* Ensure alignment with QLD Government ICT strategies and standards.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and create clear architectural diagrams that bring ideas to life.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this opportunity, you will bring:
Mandatory Requirements
* Previous experience as a Solution Architect or Solution Consultant.
* Strong ability to interpret business reviews, technical documentation, user stories, and requirements.
* Ability to read and decompose complex ICT architectural diagrams and workflows.
* Proficiency in tools such as PowerPoint, Visio, and other diagramming applications.
* Strong analytical skills to assess data/system attributes and support integration, orchestration, and test validation.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience across both public and private sectors.
* Previous technical/operational ICT or project experience.
* Knowledge of the IAM cybersecurity landscape (identity stores, modern authentication, Zero Trust principles).
* Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure IAM, Active Directory, AWS Identity, Microsoft Defender, Azure Information Protection, MS Intune.
* Exposure to scripting/automation, SAP, SharePoint, ServiceNow, and Splunk.
