In this role, you'll:
Be a part of our Road Maintenance & Resilience team undertaking a new package of works in Walgett.
You will service the Dubbo District and Walgett Shire (within a nominal 200km radius)
Perform construction and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment
Construction activities include but are not limited to road pavement rehabilitation, shoulder widening, granular patching, minor concrete works
Work collaboratively in a team and demonstrate an ability to complete tasks independently as directed by team leaders and work supervisors
Travel to worksites within the Central West District
Keep up to date with WHS legislation, policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
Travel throughout the District to attend worksites including attending call outs on weekends and after hours scheduled night work where required along with work away from home.
This is a Fixed-Term Full-Time Opportunity to 30 th June 2026 – Based in Dubbo or Walgett.
We take the WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 70km distance of Walgett, Dubbo or Narrabri.

You are a practical thinker, quick learner and great communicator who enjoys being physically active performing outdoor manual tasks involving the use of hand tools and equipment within a team setting.
You must hold the following qualifications:
* White Card
* Current driver's licence
Ideally you will have previous either experience as a Road Worker or related civil construction experience.
