Job Opportunity: Desktop Support Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. This role will involve providing technical support for infrastructure hardware and software, as well as participating in an on-call roster.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and excellent problem-solving skills. They will also possess good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work alone on tasks in a proactive manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Scheduling and implementing patching and deployment of new and end-of-life systems in a 24/7 production environment with minimal impact.
* Monitoring emails and logs, backups, network gear, and vulnerability scans.
* Ensuring compliance with IT policies and procedures.
* Providing technical support for infrastructure hardware and software.
* Participating in an on-call roster.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate in Information Technology.
* Good Windows knowledge & experience.
* Good Microsoft Office / O365 knowledge and skills.
* Valid driver's license.
* Good PC and Server Hardware knowledge.
* Experience with Cisco network devices, wireless networks, and type-1 hypervisors would be highly regarded.
