About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor to join our team in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in delivering high‐quality mental health support and counselling services to the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individual and group counselling sessions to address a range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues.
* Develop and implement personalised treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to care.
* Maintain accurate and confidential client records in line with professional and legal standards.
* Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in counselling.
* Contribute to the overall goals and objectives.

Experience and qualifications required
* Tertiary qualification in Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
* Current membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., Australian Counselling Association, Australian Association of Social Workers).
* Minimum of 3 years' experience providing counselling services in a healthcare or community setting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with diverse clients.
* Excellent problem‐solving, critical thinking, and decision‐making abilities.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and a person‐centred approach to care.
* Experience supporting individuals impacted by domestic and family violence (DFV) and sexual trauma is highly regarded.
* Eligibility to work in Australia is required at the time of application.
* Working with Children Check and Police clearance are required for this position.
