Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position
Heavy Truck Drivers (ANZSCO: )
Full-time/Permanent $75,000 - $85,000 (salary will be considered commensurate to qualifications and experience and may be outside this range)
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Drive truck with capacity of more than 3 tons to transport and deliver cargo or materials.
* Work in remote locations and drive long distances, if necessary.
* Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain working operations, record any defects they find.
* Load and unload cargo with multiple drops.
* Secure proof of deliveries and return relevant paperwork to office timely.
* Ensure load restraint is performed as per heavy vehicle load restraint guide.
* Maintain radio or telephone contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location.
* Be efficient in completing the necessary delivery paperwork including run sheets and work diaries.
* Be able to take orders for new deliveries.
* Maintain truck log according to State and Federal regulations.
* Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
* Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
* Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows on completion of each trip.
* Keep record of materials and products transported.
* Keep a log of activities.
* Keep truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.
* Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking.
Qualifications and Experience:
* AQF certificate II or III
* Valid Australian MC truck licence
* Minimum of 1 year's recent heavy/multi-combination driving experience
* Demonstrate sound geographic knowledge Australia-wide
* Be highly reliable with a first-class approach to safety and customer service with good communication skills
* Fatigue Management Certificate
* Able to pass a drug and alcohol and pre-employment medical
* MSIC Card or willing to obtain
* Load restraint certificate
* Require DG Licence or willing to obtain
Heavy Diesel Motor Mechanic (ANZSCO: )
Full-time / Permanent $75,000 – $85,000 (Salary will be considered commensurate with qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.)
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service heavy diesel vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and related machinery.
* Conduct comprehensive mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical diagnostics to identify faults and determine required repairs.
* Perform scheduled maintenance, including engine tuning, brake system servicing, suspension repairs, clutch replacements, gearbox work.
* Carry out engine rebuilds, component replacements, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance of diesel systems.
* Use diagnostic tools and computerised systems to pinpoint mechanical and electrical issues.
* Test-drive vehicles post-repair to ensure faults are rectified and the vehicle meets operating and safety standards.
* Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts used, labour hours, and service reports.
* Comply with workplace safety protocols and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
* Perform emergency breakdown repairs onsite or offsite as required.
* Identify worn or faulty components and advise management of parts needing replacement.
* Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and service bays in clean, safe working condition.
* Liaise with supervisors, drivers, and operations personnel to explain faults found, repair progress, and estimated completion times.
* Ensure all repairs comply with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and relevant State regulations.
* Assist with fleet maintenance planning and preventative maintenance scheduling.
Qualifications and Experience:
* AQF Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 1-year recent experience servicing and repairing heavy diesel vehicles.
* Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, air brake systems, transmissions, and engine diagnostics.
* Ability to interpret workshop manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
* High level of mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing and pre-employment medical.
* HR, HC, or MC licence.
