Category Supply Manager Role
We are seeking a skilled professional to execute and monitor our supply strategic plan in relation to volumes, specifications, quality, assured supply, regional risk management, and regional supply to suit regional orders, stock management, and minimization of freight costs.
The successful candidate will work closely with our strategic supply partners to plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of products needed to meet category DIFOT targets.
Main Responsibilities:
* Execute and monitor the supply strategic plan in relation to volumes, specifications, quality, assured supply, regional risk management, and regional supply to suit regional orders, stock management, and minimization of freight costs.
* Work closely with our strategic supply partners to plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of products needed to meet category DIFOT targets.
* Develop and maintain relationships with 3rd party growers to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of products.
* Collaborate with the sales team to determine the most cost-effective distribution solution to customers.
* Monitor and communicate stock levels internally to ensure rotation and product quality.
* Research and provide recommendations in relation to new/potential product lines or product line extensions.
* Support the New Product Development team to identify suitable products and ensure successful launches.
* Evaluate and ensure efficient allocation and weekly balancing of returnable packaging.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role in fresh produce.
* Solid experience dealing and maintaining relationships with 3rd party growers.
* Business planning skills and execution capabilities to deliver customer expectations and specifications.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
* A self-starter who is a team player; pro-active, persuasive, and flexible attitude.
* Tertiary qualifications in agriculture, horticulture, or related discipline preferred but not required.
* Proficient computer skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
* Ability to travel as required.
