Big Poppa's is now looking for a Head Chef to join their team.
The right candidate will be responsible for: Oversee the preparation and processing of fish and seafood, ensuring precision, consistency, and minimal waste.
Supervise and guide the butchery, seasoning, and preparation of meats for braising, grilling, and other cooking techniques.
Lead and coordinate kitchen staff duties to maximize teamwork, efficiency, and smooth service operations.
Manage and prioritize multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining high culinary and quality standards.
Ensure all dishes meet presentation, quality, and brand standards before leaving the pass.
Oversee and support the preparation of soups, vegetables, and mise en place to ensure service readiness.
Motivate, mentor, and develop the kitchen team to achieve company goals, improve productivity, and maintain morale.
Set and demonstrate advanced plating techniques to enhance visual appeal and customer experience.
Enforce professional knife skills, reduce food waste, and train chefs in advanced meat and fish cutting techniques.
Develop and introduce innovative recipes and menu items in collaboration with Restaurant Management and Sous Chefs.
About you: At least 1 year of experience as a Head Chef; Extensive expertise in Italian cuisine, with a deep understanding of traditional and modern cooking techniques.
Excellent communication skills, enabling clear leadership, effective coordination, and strong collaboration across kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Proven ability to operate independently, making sound decisions under pressure while maintaining high culinary standards.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, allowing efficient management of multiple orders during high-volume service.
