What you'll be doing
- Contributing to research and innovation in Haematopathology.
- Providing diagnostic, consultative, and procedural services in Haematopathology (up to 40%), and participating in teaching, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities (at least 60%) in line with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
- Ensuring high professional standards and supporting an academic environment fostering research and development.
Selection Criteria
1. Registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in Laboratory Haematology, or other specialist recognition under the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
2. Commitment to research and/or medical education and staff training.
3. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Personal qualities including motivation, initiative, time management, and dedication to professional growth.
5. Knowledge of clinical quality management, continuous improvement, NPAAC Standards, and NATA accreditation processes.
6. Current clinical expertise in Haematopathology.
7. Fellowship with the RCPA obtained within the last three years and willingness to further develop as a Specialist.
8. Experience as an Advanced Trainee in Haematopathology within Western Sydney LHD or similar, with understanding of healthcare delivery to Western Sydney communities.
