About iCOMMUNITY Australia

iCOMMUNITY supports participants to live fuller, more connected lives through intentional community engagement, mentoring, and recovery-oriented support.

We don't do rushed check-ins or scattered 1-hour shifts.

We do time, presence, and purpose.

About the Role

This role is built around regular and structured supports, not ad-hoc work.

Key considerations:

* We specialise in Social and Community Participation
* Most shifts are a minimum of 3 hours

We aim to provide:

* 21–24 hours per week as a standard arrangement
* More hours for the right candidate, based on availability, reliability, and fit
* Shifts:
* Start and finish at the iCOMMUNITY office in Edwardstown
* Involve community-based support and transport
* You will use an allocated iCOMMUNITY vehicle
* Secure on-site parking is provided

This role suits someone who wants stable hours, consistent participants, and meaningful work, rather than fragmented casual shifts.

What You'll Be Doing

* Supporting participants to:
* Get out into the community
* Attend social, recreational, and interest-based activities
* Build routine, confidence, and social connection
* Transporting participants safely using the assigned work vehicle
* Supporting participants in real-world environments (cafes, events, appointments, activities)

* Completing progress notes and documentation aligned with NDIS Practice Standards
* Working collaboratively with the iCOMMUNITY team

Who This Role Is Best Suited To

This role will suit you if you:

* Prefer shifts where you can actually make an impact
* Enjoy being active and out in the community
* Are reliable, punctual, and value consistency
* Understand the importance of structure and emotional safety for people with psychosocial disabilities
* Can balance warmth and personality with professionalism and boundaries

* Confidence driving a work vehicle and transporting participants
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Ability to work minimum 3-hour shifts
* Capacity to work towards 21–24 hours per week (or more)
* Alignment with the NDIS Code of Conduct

Experience or qualifications in disability, mental health, or community services are highly regarded.

What We Offer

* Stable, predictable hours
* Supportive leadership and realistic expectations
* Work that is human, purposeful, and community-focused
* Opportunity to increase hours over time
* A workplace that respects both participants and workers

Important Fit Check

This role is not suitable if you:

* Are only seeking short or sporadic shifts
* Do not hold an unrestricted licence
* Prefer centre-based or purely passive support roles
* Are uncomfortable with community-based work and accountability
