In this rewarding position, you’ll apply your expertise in child development, supportive human interaction, and conflict resolution to create a safe and positive environment for children and their families during supervised visits and changeovers. As a leader within our team, you’ll ensure best practice, uphold duty of care, and help shape the ongoing development of our vital service.This role is offered at 60 hours per fortnight, providing both meaningful impact and work-life balance. This role attracts generous penalty rates with your work pattern on a Week 1 / Week 2 rotation. This role requires Friday â Sunday work during daytime hours and some work hours throughout the Monday â Friday. Please do not hesitate to contact RAQ to discuss the work pattern to see if this is a good fit for you.Additionally, you will:Apply evidence-based frameworks to maintain child-inclusive practice and support positive parentâchild interactions.Conduct thorough assessments, including parent interviews, safety briefings, and familiarisation visits for children.Oversee and support Family Support Workers, ensuring compliance with RAQ policies and providing supervision, debriefing, and training.Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, assess ongoing family needs, and facilitate appropriate referrals to internal and external services.Maintain accurate client files, case notes, and risk management documentation in line with legislative and organisational requirements.Represent the CCS in community networks and meetings, and contribute to the development and review of service policies and guidelines.About youYou are a compassionate and adaptable professional who thrives in a collaborative, people-focused environment. Your business savvy enables you to align your work with organisational goals, while your innovative mindset drives continuous improvement and resilience in the face of change.Undergraduate tertiary qualifications in social or behavioural sciences, with studies in child development essential.Demonstrated experience working with children and their parents/carers, particularly in situations involving conflict, crisis, abuse, or neglect.Proven skills in employee management, including supervision, support, and performance review.Experience engaging proactively with clients from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and those with varied abilities, genders, and sexualities.Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, particularly those relating to family law and children’s contact services.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage time and caseloads effectively.We Can Offer YouAt RAQ, we believe in supporting our people both inside and outside the workplace.
