About the Role
Based in Orbost on the beautiful coastline of the Gippsland region, we are seeking to engage a trade qualified Instrumentation and Electrical Operator Maintainer.
The Orbost based plant processes natural gas extracted from our offshore Sole gas field. The Plant connects to the Eastern Gas Pipeline, which transports gas into the New South Wales and Victoria markets.
Working a 7:7 roster, the Electrical Operator Maintainer will work as part of an experienced team to support our Orbost Gas Processing Plant.
Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, your main duties will include:
1. Operate and monitor Orbost Gas Processing facilities, pipeline systems and any associated plant in accordance with procedures to meet KPI's and contractual obligations
2. Plan, organise and perform routine and unscheduled maintenance of gas processing facilities, pipeline systems and any associated plant
3. Undertake technical analysis and evaluations on plant performance diagnosing solutions to reoccurring problems, recommending modifications and improvements on plant performance to avoid plant failure
4. Provide effective documentation for programmed and corrective maintenance programs
5. Develop and maintain effective, supportive, and reliable communication and professional working relationships with field and office-based colleagues
6. Ensure allocated corrective and preventative maintenance carried out aligned with CMMS plan.
7. Undertake Safety Critical Function Testing, Rectifications and Risk Assessments as required.
8. Manage the on-site Permit to Work System in accordance with Amplitude Energy procedures
9. Represent Amplitude Energy in the local community
Skills And Experiences
About You
Essential to the role is Electrical trade qualifications and significant operator experience in oil and gas. Experience working with Major Hazard Facility regulations is highly regarded.
To be considered you will require the below skills and attributes:
10. Electrical trade qualifications and relevant heavy industry experience - ESSENTIAL
11. Operator experience - ESSENTIAL
12. Knowledge of Gas Processing Systems
13. Knowledge of pressures, flows and distribution cause and effect, and basic instrumentation an advantage
14. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Electrical plant issues
15. Good computer literacy skills
16. Able to work in a team environment
17. Able to supervise contractors as required
18. Ability to live local and commit to shift work
Relocation support will be provided for those currently not residing in the region.
