Your new role
Within this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for:
- Administering and maintaining Windows & Linux servers.
- Managing patching, updates, system performance and security hardening.
- Deploying, configuring and maintaining servers, storage arrays and network infrastructure.
- Handling rack/stack, cabling, power distribution and hardware lifecycle management.
- Building, configuring and maintaining VMware vSphere, vCenter and ESXi environments.
- Integrating virtual networking (vSwitches, VLANs) and storage.
- Collaborating with network, security and DevOps teams to ensure seamless infrastructure integration.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in datacentre engineering and systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of VMware (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) and Windows & Linux Servers.
- Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, Azure and Automation / Scripting (PowerShell) preferred.
- A tertiary education in Information Technology as well as VMware, Microsoft, Azure and Cisco certifications are beneficial.
- Prior experience working within a Managed Service Provider or Consultancy.
