As part of the Launchd Group, we are entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation. We are looking for a visionary General Manager to take ICMI to the next level — driving innovation, commercial growth, and operational excellence while honouring the legacy of this iconic brand.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will be accountable for end-to-end leadership of the ICMI business.
Your role will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and deliver a bold, future-focused strategy to elevate ICMI’s market presence and profitability; build alignment between ICMI and Launchd Group strategic priorities; champion innovation in service delivery, speaker offerings, and client experience.
- Commercial Growth: Own national revenue targets and drive sustainable growth across all channels; identify new markets, services, and client segments to expand ICMI’s reach; partner closely with franchisees to achieve and exceed sales goals; oversee the brand marketing strategy to drive visibility and lead generation.
- Operational Excellence: Improve processes, systems, and workflows to enhance scalability and efficiency; partner with finance and shared services to manage budgets, compliance, and reporting; ensure seamless alignment between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- People & Culture Leadership: Build and lead a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and trust; recruit, retain, and engage a network of franchisees and consultants across Australia; inspire and develop staff through mentoring, coaching, and clear performance expectations.
- Industry Engagement: Represent ICMI at high-profile industry events and forums, building credibility and networks; cultivate strong relationships with speakers, clients, and event partners to create new business opportunities.
About You
This is a senior, transformative role. To succeed, you will bring:
- 20+ years’ experience in the events, entertainment, or related industries, including senior leadership positions.
- 10+ years’ experience working with franchise or multi-site business models, with proven success in franchisee engagement.
- A strong track record of running and scaling a business or business unit end-to-end.
- Expertise in sales leadership, marketing strategy, and partnership development.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets.
- Exceptional leadership skills — confident, inspiring, and collaborative.
- Gravitas to represent the ICMI brand at the highest levels with clients and industry partners.
