This coastal Victorian service provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established over 150 years ago on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:
- Hospital based Medical and Surgical services, Medical Imaging (Radiology), Pharmacy and Pathology
- A 24/7 Urgent Care Centre for emergency treatment
- Residential aged care for 30 residents
- An extensive range of primary and community services for the local community
- The service employs around 470 staff with an FTE of approximately 290 and has an active volunteer workforce.
The primary role is to ensure responsible delivery of safe and effective clinical care that requires a higher level of clinical decision making that is relevant to speech pathology practice. You practice and deliver speech pathology services across the acute, subacute, outpatient, aged care, and community-based settings. You also support the development of clinical and leadership skills in staff placed under your responsibility such as allied health assistants and students.

- Contract Hours: 64-72 hours per fortnight
- Roster: Monday to Friday 0830-1700
- Grade 2 level role
- Locum rates
- FREE accommodation
- $200 reimbursed towards travel
About you:
- Possession of a tertiary qualification and accreditation as a Speech Pathologist with membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Post Graduate clinical qualification(s) in speciality area of practice
- Extensive clinical knowledge, skills and leadership experience in speech pathology.
- Demonstrated sound advanced clinical assessment and analysis skills and knowledge, and ability to implement indicated treatments for individuals and groups.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Understanding of relevant accreditation and funding systems, and demonstrated ability to manage continuous improvement portfolio
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs, issues and sensitivities of people from diverse backgrounds.
