**Your next opportunity**
Based in Orange Grove, Perth, Boral have an excellent opportunity for a Compliance Improvement Officer to join on a permanent, full-time basis.
Working as part of a centre of excellence, you will be organising and conducting internal and external audits in our Logistics, Asphalt and Concrete divisions. Assisting with Heavy Vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Western Australian Heavy Vehicle Law, proposing and assisting in the implementation of improvement plans and conducting training sessions for staff and heavy vehicle contractor businesses in relation to WAHVL compliance.
**Your day will involve**:
- The review and audit of Boral operational sites and contractor sites, to ensure company and contractors are compliant with Safety Management Systems, Controls in Driver Licencing, Health & Training, Speed, Fatigue, Mass/Dimension & Loading, and Vehicle Standards.
- Educating the Boral employees, contractors and customers in heavy vehicle safety and compliance requirements when non-compliance is identified
- Conducting investigations of potential breaches of the Western Australian Heavy Vehicle Law.
***What are we looking for?**
- Compliance background with excellent record keeping skills
- Solid understanding of Western Australian Heavy Vehicle Law, Western Australian Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Standards and WA Chain of Responsibility Legislation.
- Good understanding of auditing with the ability to work with internal & external stakeholders to close out audit non-conformances within the required timeframes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
