Administrative Support Officer
This is a permanent, full-time position commencing in 2025. Gladys Newton School is a centre of excellence, creating opportunities for success for students with intellectual disabilities, autism and severe mental health issues.
The successful applicant will be responsible for completing administrative duties under the instruction of the Manager of Corporate Services. They will provide accurate advice and support to parents, students, staff and community members using their sound communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience in office duties in a busy school environment and possess a confident phone manner, a friendly and positive attitude, strong attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team environment.
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
* be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights;
* obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting; and
* consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
The selected candidate will maintain school databases, records and management information systems, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date while maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive material.
A good working knowledge of Student Information System (SIS) is highly regarded.
The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing educational programs for students on the autism spectrum.

Requirements
Demonstrated Experience
* Providing general office administrative support with ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively;
* Using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing;
* Good verbal and written communication skills, including application of customer service principles and practices;
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
