Link-Up (NSW) Aboriginal Corporation was founded in 1980 to assist all Aboriginal people who have been directly affected by past government policies; being separated from their families and culture through forced removal, being fostered, adopted or raised in institutions. Link-Up (NSW) supports the healing journeys of those removed; delivering professional, culturally sensitive and confidential research, reunions and Social, Emotional and Wellbeing services.
We are seeking a motivated and suitably experienced and qualified person to join Link‑Up (NSW) Aboriginal Corporation as a Finance Manager.
Australian citizenship is required for this position.

Primary Purpose of the Role
The Finance Manager in reporting to the CEO will be responsible for oversight of the day-to‑day financial operational requirements of Link‑Up (NSW) Aboriginal Corporation.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the overall corporate budgeting, preparation and delivery including management and monitoring of processes.
Perform financial analysis, reporting and management activities for organisational approved projects and programs on a monthly basis.
Ensure that the financial reports are prepared and delivered on time including actual versus budget for the Financial year on all programs to both the CEO and Board as required.
Working with the CEO to implement key financial strategies to enhance business profitability including management of projects.
Ensure the financial team follows company policies and regulations.
Develop and manage standard accounting procedures to improve financial operations efficiency including financial systems in accordance with accounting standards.
Manage company taxes including lodgment of Business Activity Statement (BAS) & Instalment Activity Statement (IAS).
Manage payroll function including compliance with Single Touch Payroll, superannuation and PAYG for the organisation.
Establish and maintain relationships with external accountants and auditors.
Oversee the reporting compliance for all NFP Organisations.
Provide leadership to build a capable team to deliver business outcomes.
Monitor and manage effective business processes for areas of accountability aligned to the strategy.
Managing the fleet including reporting (E‑Roads).
Prepare reports for Fringe Benefits Tax review and lodgment.
Candidates should note that this is a hands‑on role.
This role requires the person to be present in the office full time.
Qualification
A degree in accounting or similar relevant experience or training.
Prior experience with an ACCO or NGO.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
10+ years' working in finance.
2+ years' experience working as Finance Manager.
2+ years' experience managing a team.
A demonstrated record in managing a growing workforce, contractors and stakeholders in a complex operating environment.
An analytical mind.
Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
Commercial and business awareness.
Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
Ability to stick to time constraints.
