We are looking for a Team Leader - Support Worker based in Maroochydore to lead our team of Support Workers.
The role of Team Leader - Support Worker involves both leading and mentoring a team, as well as directly supporting people with disability when required.
You will have an understanding of the dynamic nature of support work and a dedication to minimising the risks associated with the service, you will provide effective individualised and tailored supports to NDIS participants to enable them to achieve their goals. You will do this whilst considering input from all stakeholders associated with each participant. These supports will promote community inclusion, independence, decision making, choice and control.
You will be responsible for delivering support and services to a caseload of participants under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). You will take responsibility for the delivery of a high quality of service, referrals, rostering, professional development and supervision of a team of Support Workers and positive participant outcomes.
You will ensure a streamlined service for all stakeholders of the NDIS@WISE team based on the Sunshine Coast. The role is part-time, 25 hrs a week with a requirement of 10hrs face-to-face Support Work and a possibility to move to a full-time arrangement.
What we are looking for:
* Experience in successfully leading or managing a team;
* Proven experience in achieving desired program outcomes;
* Well-developed knowledge of the Disability Services Sector;
* Skills & experience in working with people with disability;
* Ability to use initiative and handle a variety of activities concurrently and with minimal supervision;
* Highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
* Strong organisational, time management and presentation skills;
Current drivers Licence, including own transport
The successful candidate will be required to; complete a National Police Clearance Check and Working with Children Check, have the legal right to work in Australia, obtain NDIS Worker Screening clearance prior to being offered a role with WISE Employment.
