About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Birch & Waite Foods, based in Orange, NSW.
You will be responsible for providing mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation services for production and packaging equipment within our food manufacturing facility.
You will ensure machinery operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Australian Standards, supporting our production targets and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine preventative maintenance on mixers, pumps, conveyors, filling lines, and automated packaging equipmentDiagnose and repair mechanical faults using technical manuals and engineering drawingsAssist in the installation, assembly, and commissioning of current equipmentSet up and calibrate machinery according to specificationsCollaborate on system modifications to improve performance and safetyRespond promptly to breakdowns to minimize production disruptionMaintain accurate maintenance logs and compliance recordsSource and manage inventory of spare partsQualificationsBachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualificationMinimum 1 year of experience in a mechanical engineering roleProficiency in reading mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manualsStrong understanding of mechanical systems in manufacturing environmentsCompetence in preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair techniquesKnowledge of WHS requirements and Australian StandardsWhy Join Birch & Waite?
