Salary: $76,515 per annum + superannuation
Hours: Full-time, 38–40 hours per week

Using traditional "old world" methods and locally sourced ingredients, we bake daily to deliver wholesome, natural, and living bread to our customers and partner venues across the Sunshine Coast. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Bakery Manager to oversee our retail operations, ensuring that the quality, presentation, and service standards reflect the Tanglewood brand and its core values of craftsmanship and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily retail operations, including supervising staff and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow across bakery and café outlets.
* Oversee stock levels, ordering schedules, and product mix to maintain freshness, minimise waste, and meet customer demand.
* Plan and implement purchasing and pricing strategies in consultation with the management team.
* Coordinate marketing initiatives, seasonal promotions, and community engagement activities to drive sales and enhance brand visibility.
* Provide product knowledge and service excellence to customers, maintaining Tanglewood's reputation for quality and authenticity.
* Monitor sales performance, prepare budgets, and maintain accurate records of financial and inventory transactions.
* Lead, train, and support team members to uphold food safety, quality assurance, and customer service standards.
* Ensure workplace compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety, food handling, and hygiene regulations.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in retail or hospitality management, ideally within a bakery, café, or organic food environment.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and train staff.
* Proven ability to manage budgets, analyse sales data, and plan for operational improvements.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* A passion for artisan bread, local produce, and sustainable food culture is highly regarded.
