Our client, a well-established, family-owned business with branches throughout Queensland and northern New South Wales is seeking a permanent, full time Service Technician for their
**Dalby, Goondiwindi and Toowoomba** branches to work Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays. Accommodation can be provided in Dalby and Goondiwindi, if required.
The Service Technician is responsible for serving and repairing as per repair order instructions; for promoting customer satisfaction to the required dealer standards; and will also oversee the work of any Apprentice Technicians.
**Core objectives include**:
- To clock on and off every repair, including all jobs assigned to the repair order/ Carry out safety inspections and identify any malfunctions or fault in the vehicle.
- Perform work as per the repair order instructions
- Advise of any addition work that is required to the workshop foreman
- Document all work performed including cause and correction and recommend any work not carried out during service and repair.
- Ensure that the customer vehicle is left as they found it (included cleanliness, movement of the seat, radio, Bluetooth and mirror adjustments)
- Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle
- Supervision of any apprentice that you are assigned
- Keep up to date with factory and service bulletins
- Responsible to wear the required PPE, including protective work boots and safety glasses as per the company Handbook
- Appropriately and safely operate all tools and equipment as mandated through safety training. Report any safety, equipment defects or malfunction issues to management immediately.
- Communicate with parts departments.
- Attend all company meetings and on-line training when requested.
- Keep workshop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership tools.
**Desirable Qualifications**:
- Trade Certificate Experience
- A strong customer service focus
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Strong time management and organisational ability
