Job Overview
The PRN Mammography Technologist role involves performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams utilizing advanced 2D/3D equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting mammogram exams on patients.
* Collecting patient history, prior films/reports, and any other relevant information required.
* Maintaining Quality Control (QC) for FDA/ACR compliance.
* Providing imaging support to other modalities within the facility.
* Coordinating with mammogram letters (results/reminders).
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred; Associate's Degree is also accepted. A certificate from a state-approved Mammography Program is necessary. ARRT (M). State License, if applicable. CPR certification is mandatory. As applicable, a valid state driver's license is required. Must have met initial requirements under MQSA standards. Strong customer service skills are essential. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are crucial. Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs is necessary.
Physical Requirements
The employee will be exposed to strong magnetic fields. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious diseases. More than 50% of the time: Sitting, standing, walking. Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs. Seeing, speaking, and hearing to communicate with patients.
Less than 50% of the time: Stoop, kneel, or crawl. Climb and balance. Carry and lift (ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
