Culinary Team Member Job Description:
We are seeking a talented culinary professional to join our team as a Culinary Team Member. This role will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintain the highest standards of food quality by inspecting and assessing ingredients and prepared dishes.
* Monitor and adjust cooking temperatures to ensure optimal results.
* Prepare and cook a diverse range of meals using various cooking methods.
* Add seasonings and sauces to enhance the flavor and presentation of dishes.
* Pack and serve meals attractively with garnishes and accompaniments.
* Store food safely in temperature-controlled environments.
* Plan menus and estimate ingredient requirements to meet customer demands.
* Train junior staff and apprentices in kitchen procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
* AQF associate degree or relevant certification in hospitality.
* Previous experience as a Cook.
* In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
* Ability to work full-time and adapt to rotating rosters.
